Just

a few photos of two species that can currently be found on Texel. The male King Eider has been seen since late March. Initially on the North Sea coast and in recent months on the east side of Texel, in the Wadden Sea. The beautiful summer plumage has been exchanged for a rather boring eclipse one. The bird stands out between the numerous Eiders because of the deviating yellow beak .

The other species is European Serin. At least a male and female have been seen on the North Head at the lifeboat house for several weeks. The male sings regularly and sometimes makes a courtship flight. The female is often hard to find. Breeding case ??
