Terek on Texel

It looks a bit like a hefty Common Sandpiper but the typical raised beak is very distinctive for Terek Sandpiper. A breeding bird of the boreal taiga and found in Europe especially in Finland, White Russia and the Baltic States. With less than ten records on Texel, we can safely speak of a rare vagrant. Yesterday, July 14, a bird was discovered and it was still present today on the east side.
