The Pacific Golden Plover is today exactly 50 days on Texel. That's the longest stay ever for this species in the Netherlands. The last few days it's pretty quiet on land. On September 7th a juvenile Long-tailed Skua and the beautiful number of 40 Velvet Scoters were seen at Westerslag (post 12). A day later passed here an adult Long-tailed Skua. On that day also a Caspian Tern was observed at post 9. It remains worthwhile to search. The possibilities are endless on an island. On land, over sea and in the air .....
