The weather with....

 

The last few days there is a strong westerly winds with a magnitude of 6 on the Beaufort scale. Above sea all Skuas were seen as well as Fulmars, Manx and Sooty Shearwaters but unfortunately in very small numbers. Due to the heavy rains of recent days there is a lot of water in the fields. The sweeping of these places to waders can sometimes cause interesting species. Also 'het Natte Blok' at polder 'Waal en Burg' is looking good. Saturday, September 14th was a juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper found here. The weather forecast for the next few days indicates calmer weather at the end of the week in the Netherlands. In Scandinavia develops a high pressure. If these forecasts come true, the autumn migration can recover. This weekend there are at least many birdwatchers on Texel……
