Mark time

After a spectacular last weekend in September this week it's quiet in the field. The strong winds of the last days has happily decreased. That makes birding a lot more pleasant. Unfortunately, the birds are missing a bit. Although Song Thrushes, Redwings, Blackcaps, Siskins and Chiffchaffs migrate in reasonable numbers. Also Goldcrests, Firecrests  and Yellow-browed Warblers are regularly observed. October has only just begun and will undoubtedly bring some good species. With coming week the Dutch Birding Weekend that will certainly succeed!
