Despite the gray winter there is plenty to see on Texel. On fields and meadows you find large groups of wintering geese. In several places you can see Peregrines. A good place to look is polder Waal and Burg. Often sitting here at one of the mills. Not surprising when you know that thousands of birds have gathered here. Golden Plovers, Dunlins, Lapwings, Ruffs, and many species of ducks are in this wetland area. A veritable candy store for this fast hunter.
