While wintering Bar-tailed Godwits stay at least until the month of May in large numbers in the Wadden Sea area, 'our' Godwits are slowly coming back. At 'de Schorren' you can see thousands of waders at high tide. Bar-tailed Godwits, Curlews, Knots and Dunlins are well represented. As a result of the mild winter weather a lot of birds are displaying and singing. In 'Utopia' Ringed Plovers show their courtship behaviors. The first observations of Pied and White Wagtails make clear that winter is on the way back.
