On 31 May, in the middle of the night a calling Baillon's Crake was discovered in the Slufter. This is a new species for the Texel avifauna.

Another highlight of the last days is the observation of a Blyth's Reed Warbler on June 6 at the Lifeboat House in the north. It is the sixth observation within a year on Texel. Earlier dates and locations; 28-09-2013 Krimbos, 10-10-2013 polder Wassenaar, 20-10-2013 De Robbenjager, 24-05-2014 De Tuintjes and 25-05-2014 Eierlandse Duinen.
