has a slow start. Of course beautiful sightings are reported .... The birds are unfortunately often difficult twitchable. What to think of a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on October 3 in the Staatsbossen near Heidehof. Or a Radde's Warbler on 6 October in the garden with perhaps the longest list of garden birds in The Netherlands. Somewhere in the polder Eendracht ... Both species were seen only by a few birders. The next weekend starts the 29th edition of the Dutch Birding autumn weekend. This will undoubtedly provide great species for two main reasons; many bird watchers and many birds. The turnaround in tempestuous weather with winds from diverse directions and sometimes rain can lead to surprising discoveries.
