currently have chicks or are even working on their second clutch. Some species such as Marsh and Reed Warbler start later. Right now you can even hear in the narrowest canals with a little cane, scratchy vocals by Reed Warbler. Still other present species such as Red Knot and Bar-tailed Godwit spend the summer although on Texel but breed not here. In recent weeks you can find a large mixed group of these waders from the northern tundra at high tide on the Wagejot along the east side. It is striking that only some birds are in summer plumage.
