we approach the end of the year. Typical species, which in the last months of the year can be seen, are Peregrine, Rough-legged Buzzard, Horned Lark, Twite, Snow Bunting and Lapland Longspur.
Especially on 3 and 4 November, there was much movement of thrushes, Skylarks and Siskins. Remarkable are the frequent sightings of Short-eared Owls this fall. This former Texel breeding species (last breeding in 2012) is mainly seen in the dunes.
