Now I'm already ten days back from the Middle East. A bird trip to Oman in November has several advantages. You see nice birds with pleasant weather and in the Netherlands you do not miss much with unpleasant weather. If Redwings and Fieldfares show itself winter is approaching. If it appears that between the Redwings some birds of the subspecies 'coburni' are seen, it suddenly becomes interesting.

Furthermore, recent weeks there were some nice records. A Red-breasted Goose between the Brent Geese in polder Zeeburg, some Little Auks, multiple Red Phalaropes with a maximum of three at Dijkmanshuizen and a Leach's Storm Petrel at pole 20 are in any case worth mentioning.
