of summer visitors is going slowly. This week the first Sedge Warbler and Common Whitethroat for 2016 were seen on resp. April 4th and April 5th. Earlier on April 2 a Black Kite was seen at the Slufter. On April 8, a Red Kite flew over the island. On this date a Savi's Warbler was heard at the Robbenjager. On Texel this is a very scarce migrant.  Willow Warblers are now heard everywhere.

Worth mentioning are the five Garganeys at Akiab (Zanddijk) as well as a group of 7 Ring Ouzels in 'de Tuintjes'. On April 5, a Glossy Ibis flew at the lighthouse towards Vlieland.
