From 31 May until now, 3 adult Rosy Starlings have been seen on Texel. The species is busy with an imposing invasion in Europe. Hundreds of birds have already been seen in some Western European countries. Rosy Starlings breed in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Their wintering area is mainly in India and Sri Lanka.
