something going on around the lighthouse. Especially in the month of October. During the DutchBirding autumn weekend I was busy with guiding but on this Tuesday morning I could go out on my own and try to take some photos. A Merlin flew hard south at the first light. A Wheatear was busy foraging on the dike. Large numbers of Song Thrushes, Redwings and a single Ring Ouzel flew around. A group of eight Bearded Tits flew in formation above the Robbenjager. The young Rosy Starling, discovered during the weekend, showed itself occasionally in the gardens around the lighthouse. With a list of nearly 70 bird species and some pics, I returned home satisfied.
