The explosive vocals often betray the presence of Cetti's Warbler. This species is found in a large part of the Netherlands, but has only been observed about ten times on Texel in the past fifty years. And that is quite strange when you know that in recent years this species has been breeding on the Wadden island of Vlieland located on the north of Texel.
