are wet and windy. The first wave of Yellow-browed Leaf Warblers has already flooded the island. The passage of Chaffinches and Bramblings is slowly getting underway these days. The first Snow Buntings have also been seen again. In this month beautiful numbers of Long-tailed and Arctic Skuas were sometimes seen above the sea. Rarer sightings of recent weeks include those of Storm Petrel, Greenish Warbler and Ortolan Bunting. The images below show some 'common' species, but like the Little Gull and Honey Buzzard in a plumage that we do not often see on Texel. The Guillemot was lost and sat in the dunes far from the sea.
