Autumn migration has started

04 September 2024

As summer draws to a close, the autumn migration is already starting to take off. Songbirds like Pied Flycatcher, Lesser and Common Whitethroat, Blackcap, and Garden Warbler begin their journey south. Many species of waders do the same. For birdwatchers, this phenomenon is already amazing on its own. The inevitable vagrants, which turn up every year, make it even more exciting.
