Two remarkable guests

22 July 2023

The sighting on July 9 of an American Bald Eagle, although an 'escape,' was nonetheless a very striking one. The young bird was spotted in several locations, with its copper ring sometimes clearly visible.

Another highlight was a White-winged Tern, observed from July 13 to 17. The adult bird was frequently seen, actively hunting insects over a grain field. The tern was also spotted several times in the nearby Slufter area.
